I haven't been able to research as much and enter any plays for the past few days because of school, but here are a handful of stocks that have caught my eye. Hopefully there will be an opportunity to make a solid entrance into one of these plays tomorrow. Unfortunately, these plays are hard to borrow. We shall see then. Otherwise, let's make a pile of cash...
NCT - Closed green on Friday at 46.52%. These plays with the crazy price spikes at the end on the day are becoming my favorites. This should be an easy short from the opening bell. The hardest part of this play is trying to find shares to borrow. I'd like to enter this play out of all the ones listed here.
SIRF - Ooh a nice boring flatline of a chart that hasn't done much except for a big spike last Friday, up green at 23.20%.
NCEN - Has been climbing steady since last Monday, up almost 129% for the week! Any sign of red would be great. I hope this runs out of steam soon.
ZYXI - Has had a three day green streak up 65.78% since Wednesday. I'll keep an eye on this one until it loses steam.
CNO - Closed green at 35.89% last Friday. This company announced earnings last Thursday. I'm gonna watch it right out of the opening and if spikes but cannot break $3, then I'll ride this stock downward.
RAS - Finished Friday in the green at 15.44%. This might spike in the morning, just like the past few openings...then I'd short it while keeping an eye the volume during that morning spike.
AFFM - This 27M "company" hasn't done a single thing until it finished Friday green at 38.64%!

Hello Il Torello
Thank You for the reply and explaination on the PDT rule.
I did not trade the selections I made, in hindsight I would of made some money.
Question why is RZ a better short sell candidate compare to my other picks PRGN, ACF, AGM, and RNOW?
Thank You
Ron
Ron...sorry for the late response, busy week with school.
RZ - It had a five day or so winning streak heading into Tuesday, so it was just a matter of time until it lost steam. Any sign of red I would have jumped on during last Wednesday's session - just like I did when I first traded it early in October. Also, it doesn't have those crazy intraday price swings.
ACF, AGF, and RNOW - They just didn't have the afternoon fade into the close of Tuesday's session, so it would have been an uneasy, risky play for me. I try to minimize risk.
RCF and RNOW - I try to avoid wide intraday price swings. Rollercoaster rides will make you sick, especially with money on the line!
Ron...I hope I was of help! Did you make some cash today? I hope you did!
Hello Il Torello
Thank you for the reply!
I havent made the jump into short selling yet, still trying to learn this form of trading strategy.
In your reply you noted
"RZ doesn't have those crazy intraday price swings.
ACF, AGF, and RNOW - They just didn't have the afternoon fade into the close of Tuesday's session"
What do you consider not normal price swings during intraday?
What do you mean by afternoon fade into the close of Tues session?
Thank You
Ron
Ron...let me rephrase that. Of course there are no normal intraday swings. Instead, I do stay away from wide BID/ASK spreads that may cause those swings. The afternoon fade is...a fade that happens in the afternoon of course! Seriously, I favor price action that dwindle alongside volume into the close of the trading day...aka the afternoon fade.
Ron...that's cool you're learning another strategy! I took notes from a few traders that are much more seasoned than myself. Once in a while I do buy instead of taking a short position. Lots of luck always!
